Day 1: Arrival in Varanasi
We welcome your arrival in Varanasi, the city of Ghats and religion. A car will be there to escort you to the hotel. Check in the hotel by afternoon or evening and relax a bit for your evening expedition. Go out in the evening or late evening and explore the city and its beauty. Stay overnight in Varanasi.
Day 2: Varanasi
Good Morning!! It seems you have a busy day today. Head for a boat cruise in the early morning and experience the sights of the morning Ghats, the panoramic view of the heritage buildings and the sunrise. After this splendid experience grab you breakfast and get ready for the city tour. Spend the whole day experiencing the city life and also see few of the sites like Ganges, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Dashwamedh Ghat, Ramnagara Fort, Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctuary, Panchganga Ghat and many more (suggested). In the evening, visit the Ghat for “Ararti” and be the witness of gorgeous and religious way of worshiping goddess Ganga. After that, return to your hotel and spend leisure time. Stay overnight in Varanasi.
Day 3: Varanasi - Kolkata
Today after breakfast head for the city sightseeing. Today, you will be seeing the Buddha influence in Varanasi. Start with an exploration in Sarnath, Dhamek Stupa, Chukhandi Stupa etc. You will also visit a workshop of Varanasi silk, where the weaver crafts the finest Varanasi sarees which is worn by the Hindu brides at the time of their wedding. After this, it’s time for you to go to Kolkata, the city of joy. Fly out to Kolkata.
Day 4: Kolkata to Bishnupur
Hello!! It’s time for you to get up, have your breakfast and proceed to Bishnupur. Bishnupur is a small village in West Bengal. It is famous for terracotta temples and terracotta artefacts. It will take around 5 hours approx. to reach there. On reaching, take some rest and then wander in the village paths and spend that day in a lazy way and get prepared for the next day wonders. Stay overnight in Bishnupur.
Day 5: Bishnupur
Rise and shine!! You can feel the morning serenity of a village. Then proceed for the sightseeing in Bishnupur. Here, you will get to see the terracotta temples like Rasmancha, Lalji temple, Jor Bangala temple, Raj Bari, Dalmadal Canon and many more. You will also pay a visit to the terracotta workshop, where they all make terracotta handicrafts and of which the temples are made hundreds of years ago and the weaver workshop where the famous Baluchari saree is made. After the day excursion, you are dropped in your hotel where you can rest and stay overnight.
Day 6: Bishnupur to Kolkata
On this day, you will leave the silent valley and proceed to a chaotic city. After 5 hours of journey or more, check in the hotel and rest before you can stroll on the streets of Kolkata. Overnight stay in Kolkata.
Day 7: Kolkata to Sundarban
After a short visit to Kolkata, it’s time to pay a visit to the man eaters and the vast mangrove forest of West Bengal. You reach Sundarbans by car, approximately 3 hours of journey from Kolkata. Check in the hotel and spend rest of the time wandering in the village of Sundarbans.
Day 8: Sundarban
On this day, you complete your breakfast and then start your day cruise. The boat will sail along the mangrove forest where you will observe birds, mangrove trees, swamps and the royal Bengal tiger. The whole day you will spend your time on the boat leisurely watching the scenic beauty outside. The lazy trail will come to an end in the evening, return to your hotel after this and spend a leisure time with your family.
Day 9: Sundarban
After breakfast, do some activities like bird watching, walk on wildlife safari and also visit the islands. Stay overnight in Sundarbans.
Day 10: Sundarban to Kolkata and Kolkata sightseeing
Now it is time to leave the nomadic life and get back to city life. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed for Kolkata. When you reach Kolkata, check in the hotel and do a local sightseeing viewing the streets of Kolkata. Stay overnight in Kolkata.
Day 11: Kolkata – Bhubaneswar – Dhenkanal
This is your traveling day. A car will drop you in the airport to catch a flight to Bhubaneswar and from there you will proceed to Dhenkanal. As you reach there, check in the hotel for some time and the pay a visit to Joranda - a religious headquarters of “Mahima Dharma”. After the sightseeing reach hotel in the evening and spend some time on your own. Overnight at Gajalaxmi Palace with an authentic Odhia dinner hosted by Royal family
Day 12: Dhenkanal – Bhubaneshwar
Get up in the morning and pay a visit to the local villages and see the handcrafted artefacts followed by a jungle walk. Then check out of the hotel and get transferred to Bhubaneswar, the town of temples. Explore the temple town by visiting different architechture carved with stones unlike the – different aritecture. stone temples, unlike the brick ones of Bishnupur Typical 3 fold style – influenced by South India
Day 13: Bhubaneshwar – Konark – Bhubaneshwar
Today is the time to pay a visit to one and only Sun temple in Konark, built in 13th Century and celebrated for erotic sculptures in astounding artistic excellence
Day 14: Bhubaneshwar to Kolkata and fly out
This is a goodbye day to you. After you check out of the hotel a car will drop you in the airport to fly back to Kolkata. Fly out or a take day at leisure
