Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards (MTAA)

The Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards (MTAA) celebrates and recognises the brightest tourism stars in the five Mekong Tourism Alliance countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. The Awards aim to instill a greater sense of pride and achievement for professionals and organisations and serves as recognition for quality excellence in tourism and hospitality in the alliance countries. Organised by the five Tourism Ministries, the MTAA is a key initiative from the five ministries in acknowledging and promoting quality and excellence for the tourism and hospitality industry in the region. The MTAA has received admirations internationally and is one of the highlights of the largest travel event in the Mekong – ITE HCMC. It started in 2009 with the Tourism Triad of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Myanmar's inclusion a year later made it an even stronger Tourism Alliance for the region. And ITE HCMC is proud to welcome and announce the incorporation of Thailand this 2013 making it the most acclaimed awards in the region.
