Day-02: Comilla Excursion

It is the beginning of fascinating excursion into the Buddhist civilization of north east of Bangladesh, Comilla. Here visit the ruins of Buddhist Monastery,Shalban Vihara was erected in 07th centuries AD during the reign of Deva Dynasty in this region.

Day 3: Drive to Bogra. Visit Somapura Mahavihara Monastery

On arrival we check in to our hotel and then take an afternoon drive out to Paharpur, to visit the UNESCO World Heritage ruins at Sompura Mahavihara. Site of the remains of a huge an 8th century Buddhist monastery, these remarkable ruins represent one of the most important archaeological sites in the country and one of the most famous Buddhist viharas (monasteries) on the Indian Subcontinent.

Day 4: Visit the Mahasthangar Citadel

Today you visit the magnificent to the ancient site of Mahasthangarh, home to the oldest archaeological remains yet found in Bangladesh. This was once the capital of Pundravardhana and its origins have been dated back to at least the 4th century BC. After visiting the ancient citadel we will drive to Dhaka straight from Bogra.
